I have noticed a rise in something in conversation, people my age or younger reffering to 60's and 70's music as "oldies" and basically crap. Well for those who don't know what they are missing here is a list of a shitload of bands and records that you may or may not have heard of.
Madlib-Medicine Show #'s 6 and 11 - One's a psychedelic trip and the other is a mixtape thing of some sort. Play them back to back a couple of times if you find yourself out of drugs.

The Synthi Group Vol 1,2,3 -VCS3 enthusiasts making proper space music.
Steel Panther- joke cock rock band.
Ra the Rugged Man- Smart man. Turned down Def Jam records. Brooklyn underground.
The L Michaels Affair- Dont know, Charlie listened to it.
Inner City Posse- Dogg Beats - The only time i've ever heard ICP sound like a real rap crew.
Giraffs? Giraffs! - Run! there coming right for us!!!
Animals Are Leaders- The drummer for Suicidal Tendincies is in it.
Low- Com'on- Proof that you can play 'Softer' rock.
Lite- Jappy instrumental band.
